2011 Ladies DC Board
(Terms of Board Members: 2010 – 2012)
This is your group, and Ladies DC wants you personal stamp on it! Together, we have formed the most incredible group of women. We couldn't have imagined greater success and such a tremendous organization of women all focused on a common goal of "Women Helping Women." Having our Board in place is helping us accomplish more collectively by focusing on strategic goals and engaging the entire membership, and forming strong community and business partnerships.

Bio
Hometown: Fort Worth & Austin
Undergraduate: Texas State University, Mass Communication & Speech Communication (double major); Magna Cum Laude
Current Place of Employment: Global Vision Communications
Dream Job: To own global PR firm and see Ladies America branches throughout the country.
Most Memorable LDC Moment: The first time I learned someone got their job from our listserv. It was when I suddenly realized the true power behind what we were developing.
What LDC Means to me: To me, LDC means that anything is possible when we unite together for common good, to help one another, which in turns helps ourselves. LDC means that each individual can pursue their wildest out-of-reach goal and achieve it with the help of a strong network. It is the belief that women should be in more leadership, political, and executive roles for the betterment of the country and the world. It means that we can be strong, sensitive, powerful, courageous, victorious, intelligent, fun, independent, team players, successful, educated, compassionate – the list goes on…we can be anything we want – together.

Current Place of Employment: Office of Management and Budget
Dream Job: Be an Ambassador to a country with a warm climate!
Most Memorable LDC Moment: Attending the "Women Leading the Future" Women's Conference and seeing how all the work we did for weeks and weeks come together, the conference was so uplifting and motivational for so many professional women and myself. I could really feel that something very big and powerful was moving forward and taking us with it, Lindsey's legacy of starting Ladies DC is really going somewhere. I wanted to cry of happiness or jump up and down at the end of that day!
What LDC Means to me: LDC means so much to me in how everyone involved and the organizations we partner with really live up to the motto "women helping women". I'm so happy when women come to me and say how glad they are to me a member, how much it is impacted their life, where they are going with their professional life because they are a member. It truly touches my heart when I hear such appreciation for the organization, as I equally appreciate what Ladies DC has done for me.

Undergraduate: Western International, Bachelors of Science in Accounting; 2007
Graduate: Western International, Masters in Finance; 2009
Current Place of Employment: Owner, Accounting 4 DC
Dream Job: Doggy Daycare Owner
Most Memorable LDC Moment: Meeting Lindsey for the first time, her enthusiasm for LDC and life is inspiring.
What LDC Means to me: For me LDC has been a wonderful organization to be a part of as it has given me the resources and connections necessary to start a thriving small business. As a professional organization for women it really has been an excellent way for me to network and meet women in similar stages in the professional career that have provided me with recommendations of what my next step should be. Things like having 1,000 plus women on the list serve has been great because it has allowed me to get answers to questions like “who’s the best dentist in my area” or “who fixes A/C’s in Capitol Hill” in minutes rather than spending hours online researching companies only to select one with no real reference. Being part of LDC’s board has also been wonderful because it allows me to see how passionate others are about the group and how much woman can really do. LDC really makes me believe woman can do it all. We can be successful in the work force, while also being excellent Mothers, Wives, Sisters and Friends.
